The burning hell with torment in fire for eternity is a christian invention. God uses the afterlife to provide ultimate justice and for the wicked to seek some sort of final redemption.

We are focused on life and how to live it on earth, and to make it a heaven by loving our neighbor, which is really hard sometimes, or we can make it a living hell here on earth. We don’t believe that Hell is a punishment, but a process of refinement for the soul to rinse free of all the wrong choices and so that it can enter a state of paradise.

In world war two, many who experienced the holocaust by the Nazis with the atrocities, “Now that was really HELL” and now their souls are in “Heaven”

Yes, we study and believe the Tanach (Old Testament)
No, the Tanach does not talk about “a hell of torment with fire for eternity”

That idea comes from Constantine who used that method to scare people into converting to christianity. Many of the beliefs are from Zoroastrian mixed with the New Testament (which we call the christian Bible) That is why Jews don’t believe in hell.

The Jewish movements that you mention are different forms of Jewish religions. They are divided groups and all don’t agree on the same belief. Some don’t even believe in G-d.

Training For Track In 30 Days?

août 11th, 2008 by kirbymcmillan

Give yourself a week of easy runs to get used to running again. Make sure you take a day off at least once a week (more if you wish, or if things feel tight, sore, or “wrong”).

After the first week, you can add a weekly tempo run. Warm up for 10-15 minutes, then run “comfortably hard” (basically, run fast, but not so fast that you are gasping and dead by the end) for 15-20 minutes, followed by 10-15 minutes of cool-down.

Other good exercises include repeat 400s and repeat 800s, which are easy to do on a track. Just make sure you jog at least 400 meters between each repeat.

One final thing that I do that might help is adding a “kick” at the end of your normal training runs. When nearing the end of your run, run 80-90% of your max speed for 15-20 seconds. This will get you used to running fast when tired.

A word of caution: starting up suddenly and running only on indoor tracks can be tough on your legs. Make sure you don’t get hurt, and if things feel wrong, back off and ice. It’s better to lose a few days of training than hurt yourself and lose the whole season.

Good luck!

Where are the best cheap apartments in San Francisco?

août 10th, 2008 by kirbymcmillan

Not to sound pessimistic but good luck is all I have to say.

San Francisco’s absolutely terrific but it’s mind-bogglingly expensive. Apartments start out in the thousands and they go up. I lived there so I’ve seen how expensive it is. But a couple recommendations I can make is:

craigslist.org
sfgate.com

You’ll find a veritable cross section of apartments but what I’ve found is that the cheapest apartments usually aren’t the best ones because they’re either in an unsafe neighborhood or they’re far too small or both.

I’d probably expect to pay at least 1K a month if you want to find a place. But there are places you can find, but they won’t be in the place you’re expecting. So if you find yourself in a nice neighborhood like Nob Hill or North Beach, don’t expect to be getting away with murder on the rent. It’s pricey and the only way I think someone could live there is if they had roommates.

My brother used to live in an area locally known as the Tender Nob, designated between the Tenderloin (bad area) and Nob Hill (good area) and he pay $800 when he moved there in 1996. But the rents got higher and higher and he paid $1300 by the time he moved out, which was four years ago. Comparatively, he’d probably be paying twice that if he were living there now, giving you an indication of how San Francisco has changed economically. My aunt and her husband purchase a house in the city’s North Beach neighborhood, which is absolutely attractive and glorious. This was at a relatively cheap price over thirty years ago, today their house is worth over $1,000,000. Suffice to say, SF is expensive. The farther you go out of the city, the chances are that it will be cheaper. Either in San Francisco or just outside of San Francisco. Other places I’d recommend checking out is South San Francisco or Daly City as potential alternatives if you don’t find what you want here.

Packer at dallas. Do packers have the skill speed and defense to win?

août 9th, 2008 by kirbymcmillan

This game has trouble written all over it for the Cowboys. Favre has never won in Dallas…and Favre has been having one of those seasons where he is settling old scores (so to speak).

If you break down the game, the Packers have a slight edge:

QB The edge goes to Favre
RB Dallas hands down has better RBs
WR Besides Owens, the Cowboys have nobody. The Packers are deep at WR
TE Witten–hands down
o-Line even

Defense—Green Bay has a stronger D and a much, much better secondary.

Special Teams–Green Bay can actually cover kick offs and punts

Offensively, they are close, but the Pack have a better D and special teams. And Romo has not had one of his classic meltdowns in awhile (i.e. Seattle last year, Buffalo, NE this year)

Green Bay wins it….. 38-17

Since there are cures for AIDS why do celebrities still ask for money to find a cure?

août 8th, 2008 by kirbymcmillan

..Are’nt we spending our Time, Money , Resources etc just for discussing the same !

Celebreties try to act like volunteers for some programmes where they can give awareness about the Disease, Treatment, Prevention etc.,
For any programme one needs to dedicate time OR money
But How best the efforts are materialised and realistic only the suffering patients can answer, you and me can just comment & argue but could judje the REAL benefit experience, It’s time that real patients ASK & ANSWER while enlightening the others on these pages, thus making their lives more meaning ful for the world and then after too.,

what year, date and month did canada came as a country?

août 7th, 2008 by kirbymcmillan

March 31, 1949

Canada is the world’s second-largest country by total area, occupying most of northern North America. Extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and northward into the Arctic Ocean, Canada shares land borders with the United States to the south and to the northwest.

Inhabited first by aboriginal peoples, Canada was founded as a union of British colonies (some of which were formerly French colonies). Canada gained independence from the United Kingdom in an incremental process that began in 1867 and ended in 1982; it remains a Commonwealth Realm.

The name Canada comes from a word in the language of the St. Lawrence Iroquoians, kanata, meaning “village” or “settlement”. In 1535, inhabitants of the present-day Quebec City region used the word to direct Jacques Cartier towards the village of Stadacona. Cartier used the word ‘Canada’ to refer to not only that village, but the entire area subject to Donnacona, Chief at Stadacona; by 1547, maps began referring to this and the surrounding area as Canada.

The French colony of Canada, New France, was set up along the Saint Lawrence River and the northern shores of the Great Lakes. Later, it was split into two British colonies, called Upper Canada and Lower Canada until their union as the British Province of Canada in 1841. Upon Confederation in 1867, the name Canada was officially adopted for the new dominion, which was referred to as the Dominion of Canada until the 1950s. As Canada increasingly acquired political authority and autonomy from Britain, the federal government increasingly simply used Canada on state documents and treaties. The Canada Act 1982 refers only to “Canada” and, as such, it is currently the only legal (and bilingual) name. This was reflected again in 1982 with the renaming of the national holiday from Dominion Day to Canada Day.

Canada reached its present size In 1949, the formerly independent Dominion of Newfoundland joined the Confederation as Canada’s 10th province.

Can you help with an internet explorer problem?

août 5th, 2008 by kirbymcmillan

Let me clarify a few points here. What exactly do you mean by “your internet explorer?”

Did the picture end up on the screen or monitor on your computer? That it replaced the previous scene on your screen? If so, you accidentally turned it into a wallpaper for your computer monitor.

Did the picture end up as an icon or thumbnail on your computer? That it appeared on your computer screen or monitor as a small picture? If so, you copy/pasted it as a thumbnail on your desktop.

If you want to email a particular picture you found on the internet or any other website for that matter, all you have to do is the following:

1. Right-click on the picture and an options window should appear;
2. Choose send link…
3. You email software should appear. If your using Windows, Outlook Express should appear and all you have to do is fill in the “To” field.
4. You may include a message on the email but see to it that you don’t write on any part of the link.
5. After that, click on the “Send” button on the upper left of the email window.

If you want to send the picture itself, these are what you have to do;

1. Right -click on the image, choose “Save image as…”
2. Save the image where you want to. Either in “My Documents” or “My Pics” or whatever.
3. Then open your email software and send the picture as an attachment.

If you inadvertently did the first two situations, that is a long procedure which would not be within the parameters of your question. Moreover, several questions have to be asked and answered to restore its previous settings.

Hope this answers your questions. If needed you may get in touch with me.

What’s the fastest way to get rid of pimples?

août 4th, 2008 by kirbymcmillan

Before you go to bed put Clean & Clear (invisible blemish treatment) on your pimples and just rub it in good. I get mine at walmart and its a little tube bottle with a purple lid. Anyways the Clean & Clear will dry out your pimples while you sleep either diminishing them or making them ready to be popped. Never try to pop a pimple unless you can tell it is pushing up like it’s ready to be popped, otherwise, like you said, it will just leave marks on your face. In the morning when you wake up wash your face with whatever face wash you use. I use Aveeno because my skin is very reactive to other face washes. Then put some face lotion on all of your face to moisturize it. After you wash and moisturize your face if the pimple isn’t popped (because it wasn’t ready) or gone, then just put some cover up on it. Well that’s what always works for me. Good Luck =D

What is the best way to find a good psychologist?

août 3rd, 2008 by kirbymcmillan

One of the best ways to find a good psychologist is through referrals from people that you know. This is the way that many psychologists and therapists work. Insurance companies and local mental health associations are good also - they often have online directories, although these are not complete.

Many psychologists give the first session free - that way you can “interview” several to find the best fit for you. Sometimes is takes two or three sessions… you might want to pay for these out of pocket and then submit billing to your insurance company once you have found a therapist with whom you feel comfortable. There are many excellent psychologists out there, but a lot of the time, it is a matter of fit for your personality. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the psychologist’s training, approach to therapy (there are many kinds out there) and experience with your particular problem. It can be intimidating, but it’s better to ask.
